Malabar Drymix Launched

Walayar (27.03.2023):  Malabar Cements has launched a dry mix, a unique product meant for plastering of buildings, as part of the company’s diversification move into allied and value-added products. The dry mix is made by mixing cement and sand after removing dampness with the help of a machine. Coming in 40-kg bags, the dry mix can be used directly for plastering by adding water. Malabar Cements managing director K. Harikumar said that the dry mix would not only be a solace to the construction industry, which is facing an acute shortage of sand, but also give an impetus to the industry. He said the dry mix can cover a larger area than the conventional cement and sand method. Hon' Industries Minister P. Rajeev inaugurated the sale of the dry mix at a function held in Kochi on Sunday.

Malabar Vega launched

Walayar (17.04.2023):  Malabar Cements has introduced a new product to its brand list. The new cement called 'Malabar Vega' is of Quick setting type cement and helps to make concrete bricks easier.
Hon' Minister for Industries Sri. P. Rajeev performed the inauguration in a function held at kanjikode. Vega is a cement packed in 50kg bags, helps to set the blocks used for house construction including concrete bricks and hollow bricks in one day and can also be used for tiling.

MCL bagged KSPC Best Productivity Performance Award

Cochin(02.01.2023): MCL bagged second prize for the Best Productivity Performace under the industry catagory of turnover Rs. 250Cr to 600Cr in Kerala. The award is issued by Kerala State Productivity Council during the function held on 02.01.2023. On behalf of Malabar Cements, Sri. Mohan Bevinketti, General Manager and Sri. Venugopal, Marketing Manager  received the award from KSPC in presence of MCL Managing Director Sri. Harikumar K.
Managing Director Sri. Harikumar K congratulated each and every employee in MCL for their effort and dedication in achieving this award..


MCL won National Award from Minisry of Finance, India Govt.

New Delhi (01.06.2022): MCL became the ONLY public sector unit in India to win the National award from the Minisry of Finance, Govt of India for successfully implementing and processing the GST rules and returns. The awards were distributed  to 05 companies across India during the 5th GST day celeberations held in New Delhi. Hon' Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Seetharaman inaugurated the function and Revenue Secretary Tarun Kapoor and Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs Chairman Vivek Johri also addressed on the occasion.
Sri. Ramesh Balagopalan, FM has received the award from Hon' Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Seetharaman on behalf of Malabar Cements.
Managing Director Sri. Harikumar K congratulated each and every employee in MCL who have stood behind in achieving this award..
  

National Safety Day 2022

Walayar (04.03.2022):51st National Safety Day was celebrated in MCL on 4th March 2022 in an appropriate manner. In the presence of Managing Director, the safety day inauguraton was done by the General Manager (Works)  by hoisting the National Safety Day Flag on 04.03.2022. Employees worn safety day badges and took pledge to follow safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and to protect the environment. Safety posters and banners were displayed at well prominent places inside the factory.
Employees participated in the Safety competitions organized by Department of Factories & Boilers, Kerala and received prizes

Factories & Boilers, Kerala -Safety Award Competition 2020

Walayar (02.07.2021): Sri. P K Madhu, AE(Chemical) & Sri. R. Biju, Sr. Officer(Production) from MCL participated the Safety Poem & Safety Essay competition conducted by Factories & Boilers Kerala in connection with the Safety Award 2020 and received prizes during the Safety Award Distribution function at Thiruvananthapuram on 02/07/2021
